Durante la los meses de septiembre y octubre de 2000, coincidiendo con la agonía de mi madre, estuve trabajando en una representación del planeta Solaris, basándome en la obra del mismo nombre escrita por Stanislav Lem. Como si de una creación del planeta se tratara, la figura de mi madre se fue introduciendo en este trabajo. Lo que representaba no era Solaris, sino el mundo en el que mi madre me abandonaba.

"... ¿Entonces tenía que seguir viviendo aquí, entre los muebles, las cosas que los dos habíamos tocado, en el aire que ella había respirado una vez? ¿En nombre de qué? ¿Esperando que ella volviera? Yo no tenía ninguna esperanza, y sin embargo vivía de esperanzas; desde que ella había desaparecido, no me quedaba otra cosa. No sabía que descubrimientos, qué burlas, que torturas me aguardaban aún. No sabía nada, y me empecinaba en creer que el tiempo de los milagros crueles aún no había terminado."

Encuentro en Solaris es un vídeo basado en mi obra de VRML Tres aproximaciones a mi madre.

During the months of September and October 2000, coinciding with the my mother's agony, I was working on a representation of the planet Solaris, based on the novel of the same title written by Stanislaw Lem.Just like it was a creation of this planet, the figure of my mother appeared and arrived to this work. The image did not represent Solaris but the world in which my mother left me.

"… So I had to continue my life here, among the furtinure and the things that we have touched, breathing the same air that she has breathed? In the name of what? Waiting for her? I had no hope although I was living of my own desires; since she disappeared, I hadn´t anything else. I didn´t know the discoveries, the mockery, the tortures that still were waiting for me. I knew nothing and I was determined to believe that the time of cruel miracles had not yet finished."
